John Catsimatidis: "Panagiotis, help save Nisyros"

On the sidelines of the 4th Archon International Conference on Religious Freedom in Athens, by the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Founder and Chairman of the «Georgios M. Mihalos Foundation – Sustainability of Nisyros» NPO, Panagiotis G. Mihalos, had a productive meeting with his compatriot and friend, Mr. John Catsimatidis.  Mr. Mihalos was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Foundation, Konstantinos Mathioudakis, NTUA professor and former Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy.

In the discussion, their alignment of views was noted, overshadowed only by their even stronger mutual deep emotional connection to their ancestral island, which was evident throughout the discussion. As a result, Mr Catsimatidis suggested to team up with the Foundation, with the aim of contributing to the sustainability of the island of Nisyros; also to continue the effort of placing Nisyros on the relative global spectrum and narrative, which is, after all, a cornerstone of the Foundation's Founding Charter. This was warmly accepted by Mr Mihalos.
