The «Nisyros Dialogues – Bridging the East Med» are created, organized and carried out by the "Georgios M. Mihalos Foundation – Sustainability of Nisyros" NPO, to produce and promote ideas and projects aimed at highlighting and promoting the Eastern Mediterranean as a region of Sustainable Development, Cultural Understanding, and International Cooperation.

An international center for exchanging views and fruitful dialogue that steadily fuels public discourse on issues of Geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean, Energy and Security, Environment, Akritic Island Sustainable Development and Interculturalism of Eastern Mediterranean.

An institution which is under the permanent auspices of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and annually under the auspices of the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic, governed by an Executive Board and an Advisory Committee of distinguished personalities.

In this era, where the sustainable evolution of humanity is at stake, in its natural environment, and in a region that has historically been a crossroads of civilizations, the «Nisyros Dialogues – Bridging the East Med» take place annually.

Within this context, the «Nisyros Dialogues – Bridging the East Med» – a Forum for Dialogue, a modern Think Tank - promotes creative "Dialogue" for sustainable environment, energy, and culture.

«Nisyros Dialogues» speakers include representatives of the Government, the political sphere and Civil Society, diplomats, academics, technocrats, entrepreneurs, and high-ranking executives from Greece and abroad, as well as journalists with extensive experience in national and international media.

In recent years, the «Nisyros Dialogues» have emerged as an event of utmost importance, attracting each year a multitude of visitors (high-profile speakers and guests from Greece, Europe, the US, and the Eastern Mediterranean region), highlighting and strengthening the internationalization of the Nisyros island and coastal regions’ sustainability, within the context of Eastern Mediterranean as a region of Sustainable Development, Cultural Understanding, and International Cooperation.
