Ambassador  Panos  Kalogeropoulos  graduated  from  the Faculty of  Law  and Political  Science,  National  and Kapodistrian  University of  Athens, 1979.

Joined  the Greek  Diplomatic  Service,  1982.

Has served at  the M.F.A. as Head  of the Departments for 1) E.U. External  Relations, 2) Russia, Ukraine and Caucasus,  3) State Protocol as well as Director  General of  International Organizations  and Security  Cooperation.

His overseas assignments  include the Greek  Embassies at  Bonn and  Moscow, the Permanent Mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Vienna and Consul  General in  Istanbul.

He has served as Ambassador of Greece to Lebanon, Portugal, Germany, India and the Holy See.

He is fluent in English, French, German and Italian.
